I returned home today from a business trip in Huntsville, Alabama. My business colleagues and I drove past the Unclaimed Baggage Store in Scottsboro, Alabama. We didn’t stop.
Lisa, Grace, and I enjoy this store, and we’ve stopped at it a few times. The place’s attraction is not necessarily the great deals, as the prices have gone up over the years, but the fantastical thoughts of where each item in the store may have been at some point.
Who was the owner? Where were they from? Why had they left this item behind? Had they been in a hurry? Had they forgotten to check the seat’s back pocket?
It’s a fun thought exercise as you stroll from aisle to aisle of the store.

Some interesting items are for sale in Scottsboro!
The above picture is from 2020. We took a brief trip during COVID-19 to get out of the house and to get out of Knoxville. The mask is a give away at what the year is.
