We headed to Kingsport this weekend to see Dan and his family. We also drove up because FunFest is this weekend. But the big reason we love going to Kingsport? Pal’s Sudden Service!
This fast-food chain is local to Kingsport, and it’s one that if you know…you know! They have the best hot dogs, Frenchie Fries, and vanilla milkshakes.
Walking into FunFest, I snapped a quick shot of Pals in the background.
Pal’s is also known for their quirky buildings with the big hot dog, fries, and shakes towering over the front of the building. However, my first introduction to Pal’s was in the 1970s at the building pictured below. This walkup counter service is now enclosed, but back in the day, it was an open-air service window.
