We tend to trust our eyes. “If I see it, I will believe it.”

We tend to trust eyewitnesses to a crime or other event. “Were you there? Did you see it?” Are our challenges to folks when they make a claim.

The reality, however, is that our perception, our memory, and our biases–and those of others–work against us to recall with precision events that we see.
